Spitfire Aerospace Services, Inc. follows “All Welding Specification for Fusion Welding for Aerospace Application,” AWS D17.1:2001. This specification provides welding requirements applicable to aerospace welded structures. It replaces MIL-STD-2199 “Fusion Welding for Aerospace Application” and MIL-STD-1595A “Qualification of Aircraft Missile and Aerospace Fusion Welding” and is intended to complement any specification for the design and construction of aerospace and aircraft structures.
